OFF-TOPIC: Snow in Seattle

We’re a Seattle-area based consulting firm and you may have seen us make the news for record-breaking SNOW! We hope everyone is staying safe and warm out there!

The great part about freelancing and consulting is you get to work from home! Or is that a downside? While some corporate offices, schools, government agencies, etc. are closed for the safety of its personnel, does it make sense that as a consultant you are still expected to work? That’s a tough question. On the one hand, some clients expect consultants to work “off hours”. It’s one of the reasons to hire a consultant because they can be at your “beck and call”, so to speak.

However, as a consultant, remember that your time is yours. Going above and beyond for your clients is what makes you a great consultant. But taking time to enjoy your life is what makes you happy. Make sure to value yourself and reserve some time to play in some of that fresh snow!
